Today, the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum has re-instituted the "Art Lending Library" with the help of Threewalls gallery. The Art Lending Library allows Chicagoans to borrow original pieces of contemporary art for three months, for free!

What's For Lunch?

Here at Soulsight "what's for lunch" is a common question. With over 10 eateries within a 1 block radius, everyday can be a new and often unhealthy lunch adventure. In recent months I've noticed more salads and home made lunches making their way into our lunch room and apparently we aren't the only ones on a health kick. Type Creation: Melissa Girl Scout Font

When Brutal Becomes Beautiful

Brutalism, a modernist architectural movement popular from the 1950s to mid-1970s, takes a 21st century twist in the SOS Children's Villages Lavezzorio Community Center. Brutalism is known for the exposure of raw concrete or, as James Goggin describes it, the "honesty of materials." James Goggin, recently appointed Design Director at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, discussed his love of Brutalism and other sources of inspiration at a recent Design Thinking lecture, sponsored by AIGA Chicago.
