All Aboard for Art Education
Background
Art Bus is a non-profit group that provides a hands-on, mobile art education for children in lower income communities. It provides a forum in which area youth can be introduced to art right in their own backyard. This converted bus circulates throughout the community so that youth can "drop in" and participate. Unfortunately, the bus and its logo were out-of-date and the program's attendance was falling due to a poor perception of safety and approachability.
Solution
Soulsight developed a holistic design program, including a new brandmark, posters, banners, print ads, a bus wrap design, and a website design, that captures the essence of the Art Bus experience, generates excitement around events and, most importantly, expresses a kid friendly personality.
Results
Our entire design team has been inspired by the Art Bus project and continue to support its efforts to bring art education to those who may not normally have the opportunity to receive it. As artists, we understand the positive power that art education can have in a child's development. We are quite proud of the contributions that the Art Bus makes to our community and have been honored to be a part of its development.
